What the Yulawill Wildlife Kits are for; Yulawill means echidna in Dja Dja Wurrung, my aboriginal language, echidnas are one of my favorite animals. The Yulawill Wildlife Kits are for injured animals you see on the roads, because over 10 MILLLION wild animals die in Victoria alone from road kill anually. That’s why I decided to make Wildlife Kits to hopefully prevent people from driving passed an animal that is about to die. The Kits have been hand made by me designed to keep in your car.
What the Yulawill Wildlife Kits have in them:
- A pillow case as the main pouch to store everything in it.
- Another pillow case to put an animal in it.
- A towel, to wrap up a joey, bird or wombat.
- A little pouch to store all the things below in it.
- Scissors, to cut any plastic or string that has become stuck on the animals body.
- A torch, if you need to see at night.
- Gloves if you feel you need protection while handling a deceased animal.
- And a card with the phone numbers of some wildlife shelters around the Dandenong ranges.
